Qualifications

• Background in hospitality or food service environments.
• Experience leading a small team or shift.
• Strong customer service focus and communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic Health & Safety regulations in food settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth cafe operations and ensure safety standards are met.
• Lead by example to deliver excellent customer service.
• Open/close the cafe and oversee daily operations in the Manager's absence.
• Coach and develop team members; support scheduling and training.
• Recognise and celebrate staff for great service and performance.
• Know the menu inside out and help the team become proficient.
• Support health, safety and food safety training for colleagues.
• Assist the Café Manager with coaching and development of the team.
• Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency and customer experience.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful, and safe workplace environment.
