Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Team Leader for one of our Cafés. You will drive smooth daily operations, coach and develop colleagues, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll be responsible for safety, quality, and a great guest experience, including opening/closing the café and supporting the Manager in busy periods. We offer flexible working, development, and opportunities to progress within Tesco.

Qualifications

• Hospitality background with Team/Shift Leader experience.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and Food Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational and safety standards to ensure smooth cafe running.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are met and followed.
• Lead by example with excellent customer service and experience.
• Open and close the café and oversee operations in the Manager's absence.
• Recognise and celebrate team members for delivering great service.
• Learn the menu inside out and help the team learn it too.
• Boost sales by ensuring the right people are in the right place.
• Deliver Health & Safety and Food Safety training for team members.
• Support the Café Manager with coaching and development of colleagues.
• Identify ways to continually improve service for customers.
• Promote an inclusive environment where colleagues feel valued and safe.
