Job summary

Tesco Cafés in the United Kingdom is seeking a Team Leader to help run daily cafe operations with a friendly, customer‑focused approach. You will coach staff, support the Cafe Manager, and ensure health and safety standards are met while delivering an inclusive, high‑quality customer experience.

With a background in hospitality and leadership, you will help develop the team, improve service, and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Background in hospitality with Team/Shift Leader experience.
• Passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Health & Safety and Food Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational and safety standards.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are met.
• Lead by example with excellent customer experience.
• Open and close the café and oversee operations in the Manager's absence.
• Coach and develop team members and celebrate good service.
• Learn menu inside out and help the team do the same.
• Support the Café Manager with coaching and development.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful and safe work environment.
