Longacres Garden Centre in Bagshot is hiring a Café Supervisor to work with the Café Manager in a newly refurbished 400-seat café. You will supervise a large team, ensure smooth service, and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The role requires hospitality experience, strong English communication, and a passion for customer satisfaction while maintaining high standards of service and hygiene. Flexible hours and progression are promised.

• At least 1 year of experience within the hospitality industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
• A professional appearance and good personal hygiene are required.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene standards is necessary.
• A genuine passion for customer satisfaction and providing excellent service.
• Flexibility is required in terms of working hours to meet the needs of the business.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests upon arrival and ensure a friendly farewell when they leave.
• Take guests’ orders efficiently and accurately, inputting them into the system for seamless service.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu, including food and drink options, to assist guests with informed choices.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met consistently, adhering to health and safety regulations in both preparation and service.
• Serve food and beverages to guests promptly while checking on their satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the café, including regular cleaning of floors, tables, and back areas.
• Train and onboard new team members, ensuring they understand company standards, customer service expectations, and job responsibilities.
• Build rapport with guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and customer loyalty.
• Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest has a positive experience from start to finish.
• Inspire and motivate the team, providing guidance and mentorship to help them exceed performance goals while maintaining a positive, upbeat environment.
