Benugo is seeking a Café Manager in London to lead daily operations, supervise staff and drive exceptional guest experiences while maintaining financial performance. You will oversee opening/closing, inventory, cash handling, and customer service across a fast-paced café environment.

Ideal candidates will have cafe-management experience, strong leadership and a proven track record in health and safety, POS usage, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a cafe, coffee shop or similar food service establishment.
• Proven leadership with supervising and developing team members.
• Strong customer service orientation and guest experience focus.
• Proficiency with POS systems and cafe management software.

Job Description

Benugo is seeking an experienced and organized Cafe Manager to lead operations at our London location. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of café management, from daily operations and staff supervision to customer service excellence and financial performance. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment where customers enjoy high-quality beverages and food while ensuring your team delivers exceptional service consistently.

• Oversee daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of café staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
• Manage inventory, stock levels, and ordering of beverages, food items, and supplies while minimizing waste
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene standards and regulations
• Handle cash management, process transactions, and reconcile daily financial records using POS systems
• Create and manage staff schedules to optimize coverage and meet customer demand
• Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and gathering feedback
• Maintain café cleanliness, equipment functionality, and aesthetic appeal to brand standards
• Implement promotional activities and seasonal offerings to drive customer engagement and sales
• Conduct regular staff training on product knowledge, customer service, and operational procedures

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a café, coffee shop, or similar food service establishment
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising and developing team members
• Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering excellent guest experiences
• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems and café management software
• Solid understanding of inventory management, stock control, and ordering processes
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene best practices
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong numerical and financial management abilities, including cash handling and budget awareness
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Preferred: Experience working with Benugo or other branded café chains
• Preferred: Food hygiene certification or equivalent qualification
• Preferred: Experience training and developing café staff
• Preferred: Multi-site or multi-unit management experience
