Job summary

Benugo is seeking a passionate Café Supervisor to join The British Museum team. The role involves overseeing day-to-day cafe operations, ensuring top-quality products and service, and supporting management to grow sales.

You will manage food safety standards, motivate staff, and handle cash and scheduling in a fast-paced, 7-day operation. The position offers full-time hours with shifts typically 9:00am–7:00pm, with occasional later finishes on Fridays, and a salary of £14.00 per hour.

Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experiencedCafé Supervisorto join our vibrant team at one of the most iconic cultural destinations in the world —The British Museum.

Our cafés serve freshly brewed coffee, delicious sandwiches, vibrant salads, and indulgent cakes — all crafted with care and quality. As part of the Benugofamily, we’re committed to creating memorable experiences for every guest, just as unforgettable as the museum’s treasures like the Rosetta Stone.

Please note that:We’re a7-day operation, so we’re looking for candidates withfull-time availabilityand theflexibility to work any day of the week (Monday–Sunday). Shifts typically run between9:00am and 7:00pm, with occasional later finishes onFridays (up to 9:00pm).

About the Cafe Supervisor role:

• To oversee the day-to-day operations by ensuring that our product and the service we provide are of highest standard at all times
• To support management team in working towards improving sales and service
• Ensuring high levels of Food and Health & Safety are maintained at all times
• Act as manager in management absence and motivate the team
• Cash up duties after training
• Stock control
• Schedule design and daily allocation of tasks.

About you:

• A Cafe Supervisor experienced working in high volume operations
• Excellent communicator and leader with the ability to motivate and inspire
• The ideal candidates will possess good food and beverage knowledge in addition to outstanding customer service, and leadership skills.

We Offer:

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Shifts: 5 days out of 7

Contract: Full Time/ Permanent

Experience:
