Job summary

Tesco Cafés are seeking a Café Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a friendly team and develop staff to deliver excellent customer service in a welcoming environment. The role focuses on sales, standards, and coaching in a busy Tesco Café setting.

You will manage day-to-day activities, ensure compliance, and drive improvements while maintaining a high standard of hospitality and a safe, clean café for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Background in hospitality at supervisory level or above.
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• People management skills that enable leading by example and coaching inclusively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the café, including routines and standards.
• Hold full profit and loss accountability for the café.
• Maximise sales while ensuring safety and legal compliance for customers and colleagues.
• Lead and inspire the team to hit sales targets.
• Deliver the service plan and maintain required standards.
• Select, train and develop team members to take pride in their work.
• Act as a café menu expert and share knowledge with the team.
• Ensure customers are served quickly with high‑quality food and drinks in a clean environment.
