Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a Café Assistant to be the friendly first contact for customers in our centre café. You will prepare and serve drinks, snacks and maintain a welcoming environment with a strong focus on service excellence.

This casual, frontline role requires flexibility to cover peak times and events, with training provided to support your growth within a supportive community leisure charity.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced leisure or retail environment.
• Ability to handle cash and operate till systems accurately.
• Comfortable working as part of a small, frontline team and supporting colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks and light snacks in the café.
• Maintain café cleanliness, stock, and food hygiene practices; operate the till and handle payments.
• Support events and activities in the centre as required.
