Job summary

Kinetic plc is seeking a CAD Technician in Widnes to design computer aided technical drawings for manufacturing and assembly. You will break down parts into flat profiles for CAM, produce 2D/3D drawings, and support engineering with accurate data. The role is based in Widnes with a typical 38.5-hour week and a salary up to £32,500.

The position requires experience on the shop floor as a Fabricator/Welder or Sheet Metal professional, and proficiency with RADAN and CAM workflows is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience breaking down parts into flat profiles for CAM.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD modelling and drawing pack creation.
• Knowledge of CAM post-processing steps and punching/lasering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design CAD drawings derived from customer orders to support engineering and manufacturing.
• Break down parts into flat profiles for CNC punching and laser cutting.
• Produce drawing packs and ensure accurate, timely delivery for production.
