Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Skelmersdale is seeking a CAD Technician with AutoCAD experience to design aluminium and steel windows and doors for bespoke glazing projects.

You will create fabrication drawings, amend technical drawings to meet fabrication requirements, and support a busy engineering office with design and detailing work, with progression toward Design Manager. The role offers hybrid working and a clear path to progression within a growing glazing specialist.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or Degree level in Engineering related subject.
• Background using AutoCAD 2D.
• Background drawing for steel and aluminium manufacture.

• Amending Technical drawings based on fabrication requirements.

Are you a CAD Technician with a background in AutoCAD looking for a role working designing for aluminium and steel windows and doors with a leading bespoke architectural glazing company who will support your long-term career through progression opportunities and train on their bespoke products?

Do you want to join a company which specialise in supplying architectural glazing systems for the construction industry. This company fabricate in both steel and aluminium which means you will play an integral part in creating fabrication drawings for bespoke manufacture.

This is an opportunity to join a busy engineering office where you will get involved in all areas of design work, detailing, and technical calculations for specialist manufacture using AutoCAD based on the requirements on clients in the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business which will invest in your long-term development through progression opportunities such as a pipeline to Design Manager.

The Job:

• Creating drawings using AutoCAD

• Monday-Friday with flexible start finish times and an early finish Friday

The Person:
