Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established sheet metal manufacturer in Widnes searching for a CAD Technician. You will produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings from customer orders to support the production team in a busy environment.

Re-qualify orders and deliver CAM files using RADAN for customer authorisation, ensuring precise drawings to meet specifications. The role requires excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills to liaise with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAD design and producing drawings.
• Experience using CAD software with a relevant qualification.
• Good mathematical skills relevant to tolerance and measurements.
• Experience producing technical drawings for manufacturing.
• Customer communication and order re-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings from customer orders to support production.

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established sheet metal manufacturing business in their search for a CAD Technician to work in Widnes.

Job Details

• Pay: £32,000 per annum
• Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:30am 4:30pm, Friday half day
• Duration: Permanent

Job Role

As a CAD Technician, you will produce accurate technical drawings from customer orders to support the production team within a busy sheet metal manufacturing environment. The CAD Technician will re-qualify customer orders, create 2D and 3D drawings using RADAN software for customer authorisation, and deliver CAM files to the production department. This CAD Technician position requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings to customer specifications.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous CAD design experience
• Experience using CAD software, ideally supported by a relevant qualification
• Good mathematical skills
• Experience producing technical drawings
• Customer communication and order re-qualification experience
