Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is currently seeking a CAD Technician with AutoCAD and REVIT experience from an M&E background, who desires progression into a Design Manager role with full leadership of the design team.

This position is based in Stockport, England, offering 40 hours per week, a salary of £35,000–£40,000 per year, flexitime, and additional benefits. The role combines management responsibilities with occasional design work, and mentoring for apprentices and junior designers.

Are you a CAD Technicianwith experience using both AutoCAD and REVIT, coming from an M&E background, looking to move into a managerial role where you will have full autonomy, leading the design department?

In this role you will be trained to be responsible for the leadership of the design team, improving CAD processes and quality standards where applicable. You will be responsible for developing and mentoring both apprentices and junior designers alike, ensuring technical drawings are delivered on time and to a high standard. This is primarily a management role, however, on occasion you will be required to produce designs.

This role would suit aCA Technician or similar with experience using both AutoCAD and REVIT. You will come from an M&E background or a related field, with a desire to move into a management position and develop a team.

The Role:

• Primarily a management role, on occasion you will be required to produce designs
• Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week
