Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation Mission Systems UK Ltd is seeking a CAD Engineer to join our team in St Athans. You will manage design, development and modification of technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software, supporting manufacturing and product design across ISR solutions for UK government and allies.

You will create 2D/3D drawings, help plan projects with budgets and timelines, and contribute to CAD quality standards while improving product design for higher outputs.

Qualifications

• Level 3 CAD qualification or degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering.
• Experienced working as CAD Engineer with sound knowledge of CAD software.
• Knowledgeable in two and three-dimensional designs & drawings.
• Industry experience with machining, CNC and welding is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with measurement tools.
• Experience in the thermal plastic fabrication industry.

Responsibilities

• Creating two and three-dimensional designs and technical drawings.
• Completing project planning work such as budget and timeline estimates.
• Developing CAD quality standards and practice guidelines.
• Increasing production outputs by improving product design and structure.
