Job summary

SF Partners in Coventry is seeking a CAD Engineer to create high-quality drawings and 3D models from customer designs and to modify existing drawings. You will use AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Revit to generate 2D and 3D designs, liaise with engineers, and ensure compliance with industry and safety standards.

You will support manufacturing and construction teams with accurate drawings, documentation, and estimates, while maintaining records and conducting site surveys when needed.

• Knowledge of engineering principles and ability to create and read technical drawings.
• Ability to transfer, display and manipulate work using Microsoft Office and other programmes.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality detailed drawings and 3D models based on designs from customers and modify existing drawings.
• Use CAD software to create 2D and 3D designs.
• Liaise with engineers to understand design requirements and provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction technicians.
• Provide accurate and detailed drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry and health and safety standards.
• Apply engineering principles to check feasibility of manufacture and construction of the product.
• Present working drawings for tender, manufacture/construction and installation.
• Produce installation and manufacturing documentation.
• Maintain drawing records (drawing register, etc.).
• Support department with take-offs, estimates and document production.
• Conduct site visits and surveys when required.
