Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation Mission Systems UK Ltd in St Athan is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the integration of hardware and software for defence and ISR solutions. You will work across the lifecycle from requirements to testing and deployment to deliver robust, reliable systems for UK Government and allies.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting QA of unmanned systems, and refining designs to meet operational needs while adhering to security and export

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject.
• Qualified engineer with Defence or aerospace environment experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD and CAE design tools.
• Good understanding of systems integration, testing, and validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the factory acceptance process of unmanned systems and fault find to sub-assembly level.
• Conduct Quality Assurance activities to ensure UAVs are delivered to high standards.
• Integrate hardware, software, and networking components into a cohesive system.
• Conduct system testing to ensure functionality, performance and compliance with requirements.
• Assist in identifying technical issues and provide input into resolutions throughout the lifecycle.
• Maintain technical documentation including system designs, test plans, and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
• Recommend system improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.
