Job summary

RSE in Inverness is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our Chemical and Wastewater Solutions team on a permanent basis. You’ll work with a multi-disciplinary design group on technically complex projects, developing detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.

The role requires precise engineering drawing knowledge, familiarity with Inventor or SolidWorks, and the ability to manage drawings and timelines to meet project programmes. Hybrid working available where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience as CAD Technician, CAD Designer or Draughtsperson or similar.
• Experience using Inventor or SolidWorks is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and drawing standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach.
• UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models from concepts and specs.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary Design Engineers to refine designs.
• Make design modifications and update drawings and models.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and produced to required standards.
• Maintain drawings and document control to keep designs up to date.
• Independently manage timescales against project programmes.
