Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business in the Knowsley area for Cable Winding Operatives. The role involves operating specialist machinery to wind and transfer cables between drums, ensuring quality standards are met.

Full training is provided and the position offers a permanent contract from day one. Applicants with manufacturing or machine-operating experience will be considered, with a focus on reliability, teamwork and a hands-on approach.

• Operating and monitoring cable winding and production machinery.

• Supporting the manufacturing and extrusion of fibre optic cables.
• Carrying out basic quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
• Monitoring machinery and reporting any faults or production issues.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Following all company health and safety procedures.

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business based in the Knowsley area, who are looking to expand their production team with Cable Winding Operatives.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist manufacturing environment, working with fibre optic cable products used within the telecommunications industry.

Whether you already have experience in manufacturing, production or machine operating, or are looking to develop new skills, full training will be provided.

The Role

As a Cable Winding Operative, you will play an important part in the manufacturing process, operating specialist machinery to wind and transfer cables between drums while ensuring products meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating and monitoring cable winding and production machinery.

• Winding and transferring electrical and fibre optic cables between drums.

• Handling cable materials and components safely and accurately.

• Supporting the manufacturing and extrusion of fibre optic cables.

• Carrying out basic quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.

• Monitoring machinery and reporting any faults or production issues.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Working Hours & Pay

Monday to Friday – Rotating Three-Shift Pattern

• Morning Shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm

• Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm – 11:00pm

• Night Shift: 11:00pm – 7:00am

Basic Pay: £12.71 per hour

Additional Shift Premiums:

• Afternoon Shift: Additional £67.20 per week

• Night Shift: Additional £152.70 per week

Successful candidates will initially start on the 7:00am – 3:00pm shift before moving onto the rotating shift pattern.
