Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business in Knowsley for a Cable Winding Operative. You will wind and transfer cables between drums, operate specialist machinery and contribute to quality standards.

This permanent role offers an hourly rate of £12.71 plus weekly shift premiums, a Monday–Friday rotating shifts pattern, full training, and the opportunity to develop manufacturing skills within a supportive team.

Formación

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production or machine operating is advantageous.

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business based in the Knowsley area, who are looking to expand their production team with Cable Winding Operatives.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist manufacturing environment, working with fibre optic cable products used within the telecommunications industry.

Whether you already have experience in manufacturing, production or machine operating, or are looking to develop new skills, full training will be provided.

The Role

As a Cable Winding Operative, you will play an important part in the manufacturing process, operating specialist machinery to wind and transfer cables between drums while ensuring products meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring cable winding and production machinery.
• Winding and transferring electrical and fibre optic cables between drums.
• Handling cable materials and components safely and accurately.
• Supporting the manufacturing and extrusion of fibre optic cables.
• Carrying out basic quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
• Monitoring machinery and reporting any faults or production issues.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Following all company health and safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within manufacturing, production or machine operating would be advantageous.

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
• Previous cable winding experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working Hours & Pay

Monday to Friday – Rotating Three-Shift Pattern

Morning Shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm

Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm – 11:00pm

Night Shift: 11:00pm – 7:00am

Basic Pay: £12.71 per hour

Additional Shift Premiums

• Afternoon Shift: Additional £67.20 per week
• Night Shift: Additional £152.70 per week

Successful candidates will initially start on the 7:00am – 3:00pm shift before moving onto the rotating shift pattern.
