Job summary

TIDE, part of the Anglian Water Group, is seeking a C#/.NET engineer to design, develop and maintain Azure-based services and modernise existing apps. You will implement features from requirements through testing and deployment while contributing to new and legacy interfaces and Azure DevOps pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining applications using C# and modern .NET.
• An understanding of API development, asynchronous programming and writing maintainable code.
• Experience working with relational databases, SQL and data-access tools such as Entity Framework Core.
• Experience writing automated tests to verify changes.
• Experience deploying or supporting applications in Azure, including environment configuration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git, plus code reviews and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve C# / .NET applications and APIs with Clean Architecture for maintainability.
• Work with data using Entity Framework Core and Azure SQL, guiding service design decisions.
• Build and support asynchronous workflows using Azure Service Bus and MassTransit.
• Contribute to Azure DevOps pipelines and infrastructure as code with Bicep.
• Investigate issues using logs and diagnostics and address root causes.
• Gradually replace MVC/Angular interfaces with React and participate in code reviews.
