Job summary

Anglian Water Group is recruiting a Software Engineer in Huntingdon to design, develop and maintain C#/.NET applications and APIs. You’ll work on Azure services, modernising existing apps, and contribute to pipelines and infrastructure in a hybrid setup.

The role focuses on delivering robust software from requirements to deployment, with a mix of new development and modernisation. You’ll join a team driving Azure-native solutions, containerised services, and React-based front-ends, while

Qualifications

• Experience with C# and .NET development.
• API development and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with relational databases and EF Core.
• Experience with automated tests.
• Azure deployment and environment configuration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Ability to review code and discuss implementation choices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve C# / .NET applications and APIs with Clean Architecture.
• Work with EF Core, Azure SQL and data access patterns.
• Build and support asynchronous workflows using Azure Service Bus and MassTransit.
• Contribute to Azure DevOps pipelines and Bicep infrastructure.
• Investigate issues via logs and diagnostics and address root causes.
• Progressively replace MVC and Angular interfaces with React.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing with the team.
