Job summary

Anglian Water Group is seeking a talented C# / .NET software engineer to join Tide, delivering Azure services and modernising applications. You’ll design, develop and maintain APIs and services, taking features from requirements through implementation, testing, deployment and support.

Hybrid working, 37 hours a week, salary circa £50k depending on experience. You’ll work with Azure services (Container Apps, Service Bus), Azure DevOps pipelines, and a mix of new development and practical

Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining C# / .NET applications.
• Understanding of API development and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with relational databases and EF Core.
• Experience writing automated tests and verification.
• Experience deploying or supporting Azure apps and config across environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git; participate in code reviews.
• Practical troubleshooting approach with evidence-based reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve C# / .NET applications and APIs with Clean Architecture.
• Work with Entity Framework Core and Azure SQL; guide use of Cosmos DB when applicable.
• Build and support asynchronous workflows using Azure Service Bus and MassTransit.
• Contribute to Azure DevOps pipelines and Bicep infrastructure for reliable releases.
• Investigate issues via logs and diagnostics and address root causes.
• Support gradual replacement of MVC/Angular interfaces with React.
• Review code and discuss implementation choices to improve engineering practices.
