Job summary

The Best Connection are seeking a Class One (C+E) driver based in Middlesbrough for day shifts and tramping work. The role may become permanent for the right candidate, with ongoing assignments and competitive pay.

Responsibilities include safe operation of a C+E vehicle, loading/unloading and securing cargo, completing delivery notes, and meeting delivery windows across the country from the Middlesbrough hub.

Qualifications

• C+E licence, CPC and Digi Card required.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience for insurance purposes.
• Experience delivering steel products is advantageous.
• Fork lift licence and/or overhead crane preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and timely operation of a C+E vehicle.
• Deliver goods across the country from Middlesbrough hub.
• Strap and secure loads using chains.
• Perform vehicle checks and report defects.
• Meet delivery slots and use delivery scheduling website.
• Complete electronic delivery notes and paperwork.

Overview

The Best Connection are working with our client based in Middlesbrough to source an additional Class One (CE Licence) Driver for day shifts and tramping work.

This role could turn permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• The Safe and Timely Operation of a C+E (Class one) vehicle
• Starting at the Middlesbrough hub you will be driving across the country to deliver goods using flatbed vehicles.
• Strapping and securing load, including using chains
• All vehicle checks and reporting of defects.
• Achieving delivery slots
• Using website-based delivery scheduling
• Completion of electronic delivery notes and any associated paperwork

Pay Rate

• £15.00 per hour plus a generous night out allowance (£26.00) when tramping.

Requirements / Qualifications

• C+E Licence, CPC and DIGI Card
• Minimum of 1 years experience for Insurance Purposes
• Experience delivering Steel products a distinct advantage
• Preference will be given to candidates who also hold a Fork Truck Licence and/or overhead crane
