Job summary

Bloomberg London is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect to drive discovery, design and client-specific solutions across Bloomberg’s full suite. You will partner with Enterprise Sales to win multi-product engagements and support revenue growth.

Role requires deep buyside workflow knowledge, 4+ years in pre-sales or related roles, and the ability to deliver proofs-of-concept and compelling demonstrations. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Client facing experience in Financial Services or Financial Technology in the past 5 years.
• 4+ years of pre-sales, project management, specialist relationship management or solutions architect experience with technology products.
• Demonstrated understanding of Buyside workflow from research through post-trade and integration, including Buyside operating models.
• Ability to gather detailed client requirements and develop product demonstrations through workshops to support the sales lifecycle.
• Ability to spot trends, opportunities, and establish credibility with clients by understanding their business and workflows.
• Experience interacting with and influencing senior collaborators, internally or externally.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales teams to achieve targets by deeply engaging with prospects and clients to understand objectives and needs.
• Support strategic client engagements through discovery meetings and deliver proofs-of-concept and tailored demonstrations.
• Articulate solution fit within a consultative framework and pitch value-driven propositions.
• Relay market insights, product feedback, and industry trends to Sales and Product Managers.
• Lead or contribute to RFP/RFI responses with Operations, Product, Legal & Compliance, and Sales for timely submissions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Bloomberg’s products and buyside operating models and competitive landscape.
• Partner with Implementation, Enterprise Technology, and Product to design target operating models for complex sales opportunities.
• Ensure smooth transition from sales to implementation with structured handovers and knowledge transfer.
