Job Description: The Role We are looking for a Buying Intelligence Analyst on a 12 month FTC. This role is a central part of Buying and Buying Operations at TJX Europe, it requires an independent, high-level viewpoint and operates at pace while working closely with partners across the business. The Buying Intelligence Analyst needs to be able to work in a fast‑paced environment helping to deliver business‑critical reports and analysis. They will be responsible for providing analytical and statistical reporting for the wider Buying community whilst remaining flexible to business need. The individual must be highly motivated, be able to use their initiative to decipher complex information, produce ad‑hoc reports/ information as well as delivering trend analysis and data that inform and support business decision making and strategy. The role offers an opportunity to be exposed to AVPs, VPs and the SVP’s of Buying, as well as a chance to build relationships with partners in IT, Finance, Merchandising and Logistics. The analyst within this team will gain a unique insight into the topline trading of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for providing regular reporting to the Buying team and the wider by working collaboratively with the Buying Operations Business Partner and other functions (i.e. logistics, merchandising, finance etc.)
  • Develop, deliver and analyse reports in collaboration with the Buying Operations team, the wider Buying Community and cross functional Business Partners
  • Deliver ad‑hoc reporting for business needs with pace and agility. Maintaining a flexible approach re‑prioritising where appropriate with Buying Intelligence Manager to deliver workload
  • Support, drive and deliver Buying Operations RPA strategy
  • Provide updates on progress of initiatives
  • Communicate, update and support teams across Global Buying Offices
  • Identify trends and opportunities in historic reporting as well as the wider market to forecast and analyse future trends
  • Build and develop relationships with Business Partners throughout the organisation
  • Build presentations, updates and meeting support material for the Buying Operations team
  • Ability to prioritise and execute the daily activities in a timely manner whilst remaining flexible to business need.
  • Support the execution of the future strategy of the function
  • Be responsible for output logs for Robotics, being the point person for escalation and resolve issues as necessary.
  • Be supportive and reactive to all on‑going projects and changes within the Business needs; attention to detail and using your own initiative to drive results.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical mind with advanced Excel and PowerQuery skills
  • Demonstratable knowledge of multiple platforms (e.g Power BI, creating and enhancing dashboards, SharePoint)
  • Strategic and curious mindset

  • Ability to balance structure of weekly routines along with ad‑hoc needs.
  • Attention to detail to be able to proof accuracy of reporting and problem solve errors.

  • Be able to partner closely with the Buying Intelligence team to offer support to the other analyst(s), as well as the wider team with varying ad‑hoc and weekly tasks.
  • Drives own development; has an awareness of their own development areas and come along to 1 to 1's with reflections, strengths, and areas of improvement to help build their own self‑awareness.
  • Ability to interpret data and present as relevant information, tailored to the specific audience
  • Strong interpersonal & both verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Buying, Logistics, PC's and Store processes (top line)
