Asda is hiring a Buying Assistant for Candles & Home Fragrance. This full-time, fixed-term role in a hybrid setup supports the Buyer with sales tracking, range decisions, and supplier coordination.

You will handle admin, pricing changes, and promotions while contributing to day-to-day trading and cost control across the category. The position emphasizes accuracy, collaborative problem solving, and active engagement with suppliers to meet deadlines in a fast-moving retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Buyer in all areas, including sales tracking and analysis.
• Keep admin up to date: line listing, cost and retail changes, liaise with suppliers to meet deadlines and tasks.
• Input into decisions on ranges and promotions; answer and resolve store/supplier queries.
• Raise and reconcile internal and external invoices to the category.
• Assist the Buyer with competitor research and day-to-day trading of your category.

And doing it as efficiently as possible will bring savings to our customers as well as to our business. You will support the Buyer in all areas, including sales tracking and analysis. It's important that you keep the admin up to date, including line listing, cost and retail changes and liaise with suppliers to ensure that they keep to deadlines and tasks. You will Impute into decisions on ranges and promotions and answer and resolve store/supplier queries. Other important tasks include raising and reconciling of internal and external invoices to the category and assisting the Buyer with competitor research and the day to day trading of your category.
