You'll be buying materials for our fabulous sites across the South Coast.

About The Role

As a Buyer within our Housebuilding division, you will be responsible for procuring materials and services to support our 5* HBF rated residential projects. Your role will involve supplier management, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials to meet project timelines.

What You Will Do

• Undertake regular site visits to build rapport with the site team
• Work alongside the wider business to advise on costs and delivery of materials on a site-by-site basis
• Prepare schedules and negotiate orders for materials with various external suppliers
• Monitor the invoicing procedures and resolve any issues
• Manage and monitor our stock levels, the quality of materials and the performance of our subcontractors.
• Keep up with continuous product development changes and relevant building legislation that may impact the project.
  
  
  

What You Will Have

• Experience within the housebuilding/construction industries
• Ability to keep up with market and industry trends
• Strong understanding of procurement tools/techniques, UK building regulations, contract law and construction H&S legislation.
• Experience in the procurement and purchase of subcontractors, materials and plants
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent IT skills (MS Office and working knowledge and experience of COINS preferred).
