Location: Swindon (Hybrid working)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer Vaping and Tobacco to join our High Street Impulse Trading team at our Support Centre in Swindon.

The role of a Buyer is to drive the commercial performance of your category, managing scale and complexity. You should have previous relevant experience in the Vape/Tobacco industry. As a key decision-maker, you will have the autonomy to execute your category strategy.

What you will be doing:
  1. Leading a key category for the business
  2. Managing Tobacco range and pricing to deliver value for customers and the business
  3. Driving nicotine alternatives, improving the range, promoting products, and managing media campaigns
  4. Accountable for P&L of Tobacco, ensuring costs, sales, and supplier income targets are met
  5. Creating pricing and promotional strategies for nicotine alternatives to boost sales
  6. Identifying new market trends and suppliers to enhance our offerings
  7. Negotiating with suppliers and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  8. Generating initiatives to increase sales and profitability
  9. Aligning category and trade plans with overall business objectives
  10. Delivering projects and trials with cross-functional teams

  • Experience in buying or commercial roles within Tobacco and Vaping categories, with strong negotiation skills
