Senior Buyer Jobs in Andover at Stannah

Join Our Team! Stannah has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join the Procurement Department based at our Andover Head Office. This role involves managing supplier relationships to achieve optimal value while purchasing according to MRP requirements.

The Senior Buyer will oversee 2-3 commodity areas, managing up to 8 critical suppliers with an annual spend of £4-8 million. The working hours are 8:00 am to 4:45 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

This position is ideal for a procurement professional with strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships both domestically and internationally. Essential experience includes supplier relationship management, procurement, and contract negotiation. Experience in commodity market analysis and cost reduction strategies is desirable.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage supplier relationships across 2-3 commodity areas, overseeing up to 8 critical suppliers.
2. Lead contract negotiations, implement supplier agreements, and manage an annual procurement spend of £4-8 million.
3. Drive cost reduction initiatives, support new product development, and facilitate product change implementations.
4. Conduct supplier audits, manage PPAP submissions, and lead problem-solving initiatives related to suppliers.
5. Support continuous improvement activities within procurement, focusing on efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in supplier account management, procurement, or similar roles.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills with stakeholder influence ability.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience managing UK and overseas suppliers, including conducting supplier audits.
• MCIPS or ACIPS qualification is desirable, or willingness to pursue ACIPS.
