Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates is looking for an experienced Buyer to manage purchasing, supplier relationships and stock availability across a key product category. You will ensure on-time procurement and availability while maintaining high service levels.

You will forecast demand, raise purchase orders, monitor supplier lead times and work with freight forwarders. The role requires strong Excel and analytical skills, negotiation and stakeholder management, and offers hybrid working, a pension scheme

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing and purchase orders in line with demand and forecasts.

• Coordinate container bookings and liaise with freight forwarders.
• Monitor supplier lead times, deliveries and potential supply issues.
• Work with Marketing on new product forecasting and launches.
• Support product re-sourcing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving purchasing and supply-chain processes.

An established and growing manufacturing and distribution business is looking for an experienced Buyer to manage purchasing, supplier relationships and stock availability across a key product category.

This is a role with responsibility for ensuring products are purchased and delivered on time, stock levels are optimised and customer service levels are maintained.

Key Responsibilities as Buyer

• Manage purchasing and purchase orders in line with demand and forecasts.
• Forecast demand and manage stock levels and availability.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, including Far Eastern suppliers.
• Coordinate container bookings and liaise with freight forwarders.
