About the role

You will support the Branch Manager to ensure that the Service from your Hub is best in class. You will manage a department which is Health, Safe and Legal at all times, maximising efficiency, availability, and delivering great service to our customers.

This role offers the flexibility to run a butchery business without the financial risk. We are looking for someone with good product knowledge of all meat proteins, who is self-motivated and eager to succeed.

Main Responsibilities

  • Managing all Butchery activities in line with Be the Best At standards.
  • Preparing customer orders accurately, to a high standard, and in a timely manner.
  • Living PRIDE values and ensuring the Butchery team assists customers quickly and professionally.
  • Completing and recording diary tasks as necessary.
  • Completing the Meat Pick report as required.
  • Supporting new colleagues during their induction process.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment for all colleagues.
  • Leading by example, role modelling the Booker Code of Business Conduct and Win Together Behaviours.
  • Building and maintaining positive internal and external relationships.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and mandatory training.
  • Supporting a culture of Health, Safety, and Legal compliance.
  • Championing Diversity and Inclusion to ensure Everyone Is Welcome at Booker.

You will need

  • Experience in team management.

  • Good understanding of customer needs.
  • Experience in a Butchery Operation.
  • Strong coaching skills.
  • A proven record of holding people accountable and maintaining high standards.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and delegate effectively.
