About the role
We are seeking experienced Butchers to manage our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This exciting role involves working with customers to develop their business, understanding your local market, and providing excellent service.
This position offers the flexibility to run a butchery without financial risk. Candidates should have good product knowledge of all meat proteins, be self-motivated, and eager to succeed.
You will be responsible for
Maintaining high standards in stock management, food safety procedures (including record-keeping), displays of fresh and pre-packed meats, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
Working with the Store Manager to develop a business plan to grow sales and profitability.
Greeting customers, providing advice, answering questions, accepting orders, and offering helpful assistance with a smile.
Ordering and managing stock, including stocktaking.
Leading and managing a small team, including staff rotas.
Cutting meat to order.
Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
Coordinating deliveries and order pickups.
Controlling waste.
You will need
