Job summary

Danish Crown UK is seeking a dedicated butcher to join a high-performing production team in the UK centre of excellence. You will process pork legs, debone, rind removal, and trim meat to exact specifications while adhering to safety and HACCP standards.

You will work in a cold, fast-paced environment with state-of-the-art equipment, receive full training, and have opportunities for progression. Salary starts at £27,300 per year, with a structured bonus scheme and 28 days' holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience in butchery or food production line work is preferred.
• Knife skills in a similar setting would be beneficial.
• English ESOL Level 2 is required to ensure safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Process pork legs to standard specifications including deboning, rind removal and trimming of the meat.
• Follow procedures and comply with all technical standards to ensure product meets customer requirements.

Butcher | Bugle Join a high-performing team in a UK centre of excellence, where your butchery skills will help deliver high-quality pork products to our customers every day. What you will be doing As part of a team of over 130 butchers, you will support the delivery of daily performance targets by processing pork legs within our state-of-the-art butchery hall. Your daily tasks and goals include: Production Line Butchery: Preparing pork legs to standard specifications including deboning, rind removal and trimming of the meat. Quality and Standards: Following strict procedures and complying with all technical standards to ensure the product meets customer requirements. Safety Compliance: Adhering to the highest levels of health, safety and food hygiene regulations at all times. Team Collaboration: Working closely with fellow line operators to achieve realistic daily targets based on product requirements. Operational Excellence: Maintaining an extremely clean and well-organised workspace
using state-of-the-art equipment. What you will bring We are looking for dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced production environment. Industry Experience: Experience in butchery or food production line work is preferred but not required. Technical Skills: Knife skills in a similar setting would be beneficial for this role. Communication: English language skills to ESOL Level 2 are required to ensure safety and quality standards. Physical Resilience: The ability to work in a cold environment and stand for long periods throughout your shift. Our salary scale ranges from £28,392 to £33,262 per annum depending on your level of skill with overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate when needed to fulfil customer requirements. To ensure your comfort and safety in our cold environment we provide full PPE including coveralls, shoes and ear defenders for your shift.
