Job summary

bet365 is seeking a Business Systems Application Engineer to support and evolve our enterprise application ecosystem. You will troubleshoot complex issues across on-prem, SaaS and cloud-hosted systems, acting as a SME for key toolsets and coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

The role includes an on-call rota and participation in our hybrid work-from-home policy, enabling flexible collaboration across our global operations.

Qualifications

• Proven track record supporting SaaS, cloud-based architectures and enterprise systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capability across complex application environments.
• Practical knowledge of application lifecycle management, including upgrades, patches and system integration.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills across diverse technical and operational disciplines.
• Sound technical judgement when resolving critical incidents and assessing system risks.
• Solid understanding of vendor management principles and 3rd party service level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for internal teams on system-related issues, maintenance and deployments.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key toolsets, advising on new features and architectural improvements.
• Maintain and support a wide range of on-premise, SaaS and cloud-hosted business applications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents to maintain high service availability.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to communicate case progress and deliver prompt technical resolutions.
• Manage 3rd party vendors against SLAs to ensure reliable service delivery and support.
• Oversee the testing and deployment of software patches and application upgrades to ensure security and compliance.
• Monitor system performance and reporting tools to maintain platform uptime across hybrid infrastructure.
• Collaborate with business teams and external partners to evaluate, design and integrate new technical solutions.
• Utilising AI to provide solutions and suggest improvements

Business Systems Solutions delivers bespoke and 3rd party solutions that drive operational efficiency, scalability and technical resilience across the enterprise. The team leverages cutting-edge platforms to integrate, automate and optimise key business workflows.

You will support a diverse portfolio of applications and guide users through critical technical challenges. Working across hybrid environments, you will perform in-depth root cause analysis, troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate directly with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless platform performance.

In this role, you will provide an on-call capability as part of a rota, to support key applications out of hours.

This role is eligible for inclusion in our hybrid work from home policy.
