Job summary

bet365 is seeking a Business Systems Application Engineer to support and evolve our extensive enterprise application ecosystem. The role is full-time with a hybrid work-from-home policy, requiring on-call coverage and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to ensure platform performance.

You will act as a SME for key toolsets, manage incidents, and drive architectural improvements across on-premise, SaaS and cloud-hosted apps in a global operation.

Qualifications

• Proven track record supporting SaaS, cloud-based architectures and enterprise systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capability across complex application environments.
• Practical knowledge of application lifecycle management, including upgrades, patches and system integration.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management across technical and operational disciplines.
• Sound judgement resolving incidents and assessing system risks.
• Understanding of vendor management and 3rd party SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for internal teams on system-related issues, maintenance and deployments.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key toolsets, advising on new features and architectural improvements.
• Maintain and support a wide range of on-premise, SaaS and cloud-hosted business applications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents to maintain high service availability.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to communicate case progress and deliver prompt technical resolutions.
• Manage 3rd party vendors against SLAs to ensure reliable service delivery and support.
• Oversee the testing and deployment of software patches and application upgrades to ensure security and compliance.
• Monitor system performance and reporting tools to maintain platform uptime across hybrid infrastructure.
• Collaborate with business teams and external partners to evaluate, design and integrate new technical solutions.
• Utilising AI to provide solutions and suggest improvements.

Business Systems Solutions delivers bespoke and 3rd party solutions that drive operational efficiency,scalabilityand technical resilience across the enterprise. The teamleveragescutting-edgeplatforms to integrate, automate and optimise key business workflows.

You will support a diverse portfolio of applications and guide users through critical technical challenges. Working across hybrid environments, you will perform in-depth root cause analysis, troubleshoot complexissuesand collaborate directly with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless platform performance.

In this role, you will provide an on-callcapability as part of a rota, to support key applications out of hours.

This role is eligible for inclusion in our hybrid work from home policy.
