Role Overview:

Join a dynamic team at the heart of information governance!
This role provides vital administrative support to the Information Management Team, playing a key part in helping the council meet its legal and strategic responsibilities. You’ll contribute to high-impact work across Freedom of Information, Data Protection, Records Management, and Information Security. It’s an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, curiosity, and a commitment to public service truly matter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in facilitating the management of cases/requests, eg, Freedom of Information (FOI), Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), Subject Access Requests (SAR) and Information Security.
  • Maintain appropriate records of officers with responsibilities relating to key subject areas throughout the council to support the timely and accurate allocation of FOI, EIR and SAR.
  • Provide a supporting role to the co-ordination of Data Protection by Design tasks, ensuring that correspondence from relevant parties is recorded in accordance with service processes, and relevant officers informed.

Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will be able to:

  • Experience of following instructions, procedures, processes and/or policies, including financial procedures
  • Problem solving skills to interpret information/situations and solve straightforward problems
  • Customer service skills to deliver polite, courteous and efficient service to colleagues, partners and service users.
