Royal High Bath is seeking an experienced Business Support Manager to lead the Administration Team, oversee daily operations and provide high‑level PA support to the Head. The role sits at the heart of a busy, values‑led school, with historic buildings and modern facilities.
You will manage diary and events, ensure GDPR compliance, co‑ordinate data and census returns, communicate with parents and staff, and drive efficient processes across the school office and reception.

Working across a distinctive school community combining Grade II listed buildings, modern facilities and a thriving day and boarding environment, you will help keep Royal High Bath running smoothly. As Business Support Manager, you will lead our Administration Team, oversee daily operational processes, and provide high‑level PA and organisational support to the Head.
This is a varied, fast‑paced role covering leadership of administrative staff, diary and PA support, parent and stakeholder communication, compliance and data management, school trips administration, event logistics, SchoolPost oversight, census returns, safeguarding‑aligned record keeping and the smooth running of the Head’s office, school office and reception. You will be a trusted point of contact for staff, parents, students and visitors, ensuring every interaction reflects the warm, professional and welcoming environment that defines Royal High Bath.
You will bring proven experience in office or administrative management, ideally within an educational or community setting, together with strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead and develop a team. You will demonstrate sound judgement, high levels of discretion, a clear understanding of GDPR, and a calm, professional approach under pressure. Experience of coordinating complex administrative processes, managing information systems and presenting data clearly will be essential.
Experience within education would be welcome, but we are also keen to hear from candidates from other administrative, customer‑facing or compliance‑focused environments who can bring transferable skills.
This role could particularly suit an experienced Office Manager, PA/EA, Administration Manager, School Office Lead, Operations Coordinator or Business Support Lead looking for greater responsibility for people, processes and the day‑to‑day operation of a busy school.
