Your role:
GMCA has an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join its award-winning Retrofit Team in the Environment Directorate.
The role will support a team delivering over £100m of housing retrofit measures to help meet the targets in the Greater Manchester 5-year Environment Plan and Retrofit Action Plan, aiming to make Greater Manchester carbon neutral by 2038.
A key focus of the role will be to manage the day-to-day administration of the ECO4, GBIS, and LA-Flex schemes, primarily through processing resident applications via GMCA’s retrofit portal. You may also support other grant funding schemes managed by the team, along with general office administration.
The energy efficiency improvements and low carbon heating systems installed through these schemes will make homes cheaper to heat, more comfortable, and environmentally friendly.
About you:
GMCA seeks an individual with experience in project support services and managing complex databases. The candidate must work efficiently and respond quickly to varied demands, liaising effectively with the public, partners, and team members. They should also work with senior colleagues to monitor, evaluate, and suggest improvements for programme delivery.
A commitment to partnership working is essential, as the role involves collaboration with internal teams, government departments, local authorities, contractors, and partners. A passion for addressing climate change and fuel poverty is vital, as this role offers a direct impact on these issues.
