Job description

Buckinghamshire Adult Learning, part of Children Services' Education portfolio, aims to provide inclusive learning opportunities that promote well-being and help individuals in Buckinghamshire achieve their potential.

Funded mainly by the Department of Education (DfE) and inspected by OFSTED, the service seeks an experienced Business Support Assistant to assist curriculum teams with administration and data recording, ensuring smooth operation of the Tailored Learning programme.

This role is 30 hours per week, with a pro-rata salary, primarily based at Quarrendon Adult Learning Centre, with potential travel to other centres.

About the role

The main responsibilities include:

  • Assisting managers with administrative and data tasks related to the Tailored Learning provision, including data entry, monitoring attendance, and escalating issues.
  • Supporting expansion efforts using social media and promotional materials.
  • Accurately entering and monitoring data, and generating reports for management.
  • Supporting colleagues with document preparation and using established formats and software.
  • Making routine arrangements and bookings, liaising with Curriculum Coordinators.

About you

The ideal candidate will:

  • Manage and produce accurate data reports.
  • Have team experience and excellent IT skills.
  • Be capable of maintaining records accurately across various systems.
  • Work calmly under pressure with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Possess relevant GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths.
