Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc in Sheffield is seeking a Business Analyst to gather requirements from stakeholders, cleanse large datasets, and develop analytical tools, reports and KPIs that continually improve service levels for operations and management. You will work across GPS, Finance, HR and QHSE data from MIS systems.

Ideal candidates will have strong SQL and Excel skills, plus knowledge of PowerBI; GIS is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Be able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical people.
• Previous business analyst experience would be an advantage
• Must have a high level working knowledge of SQL & Excel
• Knowledge of PowerBI and GIS an advantage.
• High problem solving ability.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Report writing experience (PowerBI, Report Builder, Excel or other relevant software)
• Ability to analyse complex datasets.
• Proactive and forward thinking.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for analysis.
• Collect and cleanse large datasets from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Produce analytical tools, reports and KPIs that continually improve standards and service levels.
• Develop, generate and present reports to senior management, operations, technical and support teams and external clients.
• Innovate by presenting ideas to the Digital Transformation Manager for potential project work.
• Understand the management systems and recommend changes to improve systems for operational staff and analytics.
