Job summary

Veolia in Sheffield is seeking a Business Performance Analyst to gather business requirements, cleanse large datasets, and develop analytical tools and KPIs for senior leadership. The role offers hybrid working, exposure to multi-functional data domains, and opportunities to influence strategic decisions.

You will analyse data across GPS, Finance, HR, QHSE and MIS, present actionable insights to senior management, and contribute to major projects with progression opportunities within Veolia's

Qualifications

• High level working knowledge of SQL and Excel.
• Experience communicating technical solutions to non-technical people.
• PowerBI knowledge; GIS is an advantage.
• Ability to analyse complex datasets.
• Proactive and forward-thinking.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Report writing experience with PowerBI, Report Builder, Excel or similar.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for analysis.
• Collect and cleanse large datasets from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Produce analytical tools, reports and KPIs to improve service levels of stakeholders’ processes.
• Analyze data from GPS, Finance, HR, QHSE and MIS data sources.
• Develop, generate and present reports to senior management, operations, technical and support teams and external clients.
• Present ideas to the Digital Transformation Manager and pursue approved projects.
• Understand the management systems and propose changes to continuously improve operations.

Buiness Performance Analyst

Salary: Up to £36,000 dependant on experience plus bonus and Veolia benefits.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Sheffield (Lumley Street) with hybrid working

What you'll be doing:

• Gather requirements from stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for analysis.
• Collect and cleanse large datasets from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• You will produce analytical tools, reports and Key Performance Indicators that constantly improve the standards and service levels of our stakeholders processes. You will work on high profile projects on multi-million pound contracts that will give you exposure to senior management.
• You will have the opportunity to analyse data from every aspect of the business; GPS, Finance, HR, QHSE and all data that can be extracted from the management information systems.
• Develop, generate and present reports to senior management, operations, technical and support teams and external clients.
• Innovating thinking is promoted and you will be given opportunities to present your ideas to the Digital Transformation Manager which, if approved, would allow you to continue to work on your own project.
• Understand the management systems and be able to recommend changes in order to continuously improve the systems for the benefit of the operational employees and analytics.

What we're looking for:

Essential

• Be able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical people.
• Previous business analyst experience would be an advantage
• Must have a high level working knowledge of SQL & Excel
• Knowledge of PowerBI and GIS an advantage.
• High problem solving ability.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Report writing experience (PowerBI, Report Builder, Excel or other relevant software)
• Ability to analyse complex datasets.
• Proactive and forward thinking.
