Amazon Global Selling - Sales Operations Manager

Amazon Global Selling is a key initiative to achieve our vision of offering customers the Earth’s largest selection worldwide. We enable businesses to sell their products on Amazon's platform across multiple countries, with tens of thousands of businesses joining our Marketplace annually in over 10 countries, adding millions of new products.

The Global Selling team is seeking an experienced and talented Sales Operations Manager who can analyze data deeply and drive initiatives supporting our business teams. The role involves helping Chinese sellers sell globally and resolving critical business challenges. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong ownership, adaptability to ambiguity, excellent analytical skills, stakeholder management abilities, and the capacity to work independently without authority, often influencing senior leadership. They should also be adept at streamlining processes to improve efficiency and comfortable handling routine operational tasks. Superior communication, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills are essential. Experience working autonomously across multiple teams in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and optimize business operation processes across teams to ensure smooth workflows.
  2. Collaborate closely with business teams and project managers to implement operational tasks, providing feedback for continuous process improvement.
  3. Create mechanisms and communities to reflect operations across multiple teams, scaling critical processes to more teams.
  4. Continuously work to improve existing processes.
  5. Regularly update leadership on progress, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
A Day in the Life

There is no typical day for a Sales Operations Manager. Your day may start with a meeting to map out Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), brainstorming on critical issues, studying the latest technological trends, or addressing urgent escalations. The topics you handle are diverse, ranging from data analytics and program planning to execution and opportunity optimization. At Amazon, it’s always Day 1!

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, business management, and sales operations.
  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology-driven company.
