Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking a commercially minded Business Development Manager to own the Slicing Technologies portfolio across the UK and Germany. You will drive product strategy, sales growth and profitability, working with customers and OEM partners to deliver technical solutions and demonstrable ROI.

Role requires a technical background, strong commercial awareness and experience in product management or technical sales. Travel 2–3 nights per week is expected.

A leading manufacturer of food processing and packaging machinery is looking for a commercially driven, technically minded Business Development Manager to lead its Slicing Technologies portfolio across the UK and Germany.

The Role

You'll take ownership of the slicing product range, developing sales strategies, growing market share and maximising profitability. Working closely with sales teams, customers and international OEM partners, you'll turn technical expertise into commercial success.

Key responsibilities include:

Requirements:

• Experience with food processing machinery, industrial slicing technology, inspection machinery or capital equipment would be particularly valuable.
• Will have a technical background with strong commercial awareness.
• Will have held a Product Manager, Technical Sales or Applications Engineer position previously.
• Must be flexible with travel and nights away from home (2-3 nights a week).
