This opportunity will suit someone who thrives in chasing new business, identifying new opportunities and developing long-term working relationships. You ll work closely with internal teams to understand customer requirements and develop a clear approach to new markets.

Key Responsibilities of Business Development Manager:

• Identifying and securing new international business in defence markets.
• Developing sales strategies to enter new markets and grow existing opportunities.
• Leading commercial discussions, negotiating agreements and closing high-value sales.
• Representing the business at international exhibitions, trials and industry events.
• Working closely with engineering and product development teams to help turn customer requirements into practical solutions.
• Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and providing clear forecasts.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A proven track record in developing and retaining new business across the globe.
• The confidence to approach new customers and build relationships with key decision-makers.
• Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to manage own workload.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and working with structured sales processes.

International travel will be a regular part of the role.
