Autograph Recruitment is supporting a specialist business in Bridgend with the recruitment of a Business Development Manager. This role focuses on opening doors, building relationships and winning new international business in defence markets.

You’ll lead strategies to enter new markets, represent the company at international exhibitions and work closely with engineering and product teams to translate customer requirements into practical solutions. International travel is a core part of the role.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in developing and retaining new business globally.
• Confident in approaching new customers and engaging key decision-makers.
• Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Proactive, with strong workload management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and structured sales processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new international business in defence markets.

Autograph Recruitment is supporting a specialist business with the recruitment of a Business Development Manager. This person will support the launch of their new product, growing an international customer base.

This opportunity will suit someone who thrives in chasing new business, identifying new opportunities and developing long-term working relationships. You’ll work closely with internal teams to understand customer requirements and develop a clear approach to new markets.

Key Responsibilities of Business Development Manager:

• Identifying and securing new international business in defence markets.
• Developing sales strategies to enter new markets and grow existing opportunities.
• Leading commercial discussions, negotiating agreements and closing high-value sales.
• Representing the business at international exhibitions, trials and industry events.
