Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Business Development Manager to focus on engaging with levy-paying employers, promoting high-value apprenticeship standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the apprenticeship sector, especially regarding levy utilisation, and will excel at building strong, profitable relationships with large organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with large, levy-paying employers to promote and sell high-value apprenticeship standards.
• Achieve and exceed ambitious sales targets of 20+ apprenticeship starts per month.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities, informing tailored sales approaches.
• Act as an account manager for clients, providing exceptional service to ensure repeat business and sustainable partnerships.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to create bespoke promotional materials and campaigns.
• Represent the organisation at networking events, conferences, and client meetings to increase visibility and influence.
• Ensure all engagements align with current apprenticeship funding models and compliance requirements.
• Provide detailed sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline data to senior management.
• Proven track record in business development within the adult education or apprenticeship sector.
• In-depth understanding of levy-paying employers and apprenticeship funding.
• Experience negotiating contracts with large organisations.
• Strong networking, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, meet targets, and thrive in a results-driven environment.
• Professional qualification in sales, marketing, or business.
• Experience in developing persuasive bids and tenders for large-scale contracts.
