Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom seeks a seasoned business development leader to transform service sales in lifting equipment, cranes and asset integrity sectors. You will shape a service strategy across offshore, ports, mining and renewables.

You will engage with maintenance, engineering, HSE and operations stakeholders to convert pilots into long-term contracts and grow stand-alone service revenue, while tracking key performance indicators.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of professional experience in relevant sectors.
• Proven ability to grow service revenue and convert pilots into contracts.
• Experience in lifting equipment, cranes, rigging or hoisting is preferred.
• Understanding of asset integrity, NDT or certification services is beneficial.

• Lead the transformation of the business from a product-centric model to a service-oriented one
• Drive the development and implementation of a comprehensive service strategy across key industries
• Grow stand-alone service revenue
• Convert pilots, inspections and one-off jobs into long-term service contracts
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers on rope safety, lifetime management and asset integrity
• Engage with maintenance, engineering, HSE and operations stakeholders
• Translate technical and safety challenges into value-based service proposals
• Collaborate with service operations, inspectors and digital teams to shape scalable offerings
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline
• Track KPIs related to service growth, contract penetration and profitability

Requirements

• 8–15 years of professional experience
• Minimum 3–5 years in business development or service sales
• Background in lifting equipment, cranes, rigging or hoisting
• Knowledge of steel wire ropes, chains, slings
• Experience with inspection, NDT, asset integrity or certification services
• Familiarity with offshore, oil & gas, ports, mining or renewables
