Job Title - Business Development Manager - Specification LV Distribution (Switchgear)

Area - South/Midlands (Some UK travel)

Base - Home office

Key Responsibilities

• Increase turnover in line with the company goals within the designated Role with the aim to achieve or exceed UK budget.

• Develop profitable business with new customers, building strong relationships and increasing the product mix sold.

• Develop strong relationships with your key specifiers and end users.

• To play a strategic role in the business development program of the company by increasing sales through new products in the specification markets, including End Users & M&E Consultants.

• Develop and maintain a healthy Pipeline of projects and specifications with a good conversion rate to specification and order.

• Promote DR (Life cycle business) and Retrofit offer to End Users and maintain contact with installed TEE End Users within the UK.

• Promote DR (Life cycle business) and Retrofit offer to Facility Management companies and develop a pipeline of opportunities and understand all the stakeholders within the Project/opportunity.

• Maintain contact with line manager providing regular market reports and sales forecasts and contact with all other office staff as required.

• Provide monthly feedback on competitor pricing and current pricing offers and trends within your customer base and new opportunities.

• Monitoring and updating of all projects via project tracker and with full compliance in using the CRM system.

Required Skills

• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position preferred.

• Confident in approaching new contacts.

• Track record of hunting for new Business & new customers.

• Strong negotiation and closing skills, excellent time management.

• Relevant Industry, market knowledge, competitor knowledge would be an advantage.

• Enthusiastic, proactive, and organised individual with good use of initiative.

• Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients.

• Excellent presentation skills and experiences in delivering CPD seminars to M&E Consultants & End Users.

• Computer literate and conversant in the use of software packages such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

• Full driving licence.

• Ability to work independently and remotely.

• Team player and Flexible.

• Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent).

• Experience of switchboards and M&E consultants/End Users.

• Knowledge of UK low voltage circuit breaker segment.

• Experience of specification work to consultants and end users.

• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
