Established in 2010 and acquired by the Kee Safety Group in April 2022, SEP has built a strong reputation for engineering excellence, product reliability, and customer-focused service. With over 20 years of industry experience, Safety Engineering Products specialises in the design, manufacture, and supply of a comprehensive range of rope access & fall protection anchor systems.

Role Description

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Business Development Executive to join our growing team at Safety Engineering Products. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding our customer base across the UK and Europe, with a focus on our specialist range of abseiling and fall arrest anchor points.

This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in sales or business development who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll work closely with the General Manager and wider team to identify new opportunities, build strong client relationships, and promote our high-quality safety products.

Key Responsibilities

·Assist in identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, and partnerships.

·Build relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their needs and promote our products.

·Support in pitching sales and presenting our product range to customers.

·Visit clients across the UK and occasionally in Europe to strengthen relationships and secure new sales.

·Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.

·Help with sales forecasting and reporting, keeping track of business development activities.

·Develop a good understanding of the company’s products and industry trends.

·Provide excellent customer service by responding to client queries and assisting with solutions.

·Assist in preparing quotes and proposals for customers.

  • Business Development, Sales, and Marketing skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Comfortable with travel within the UK and 1 week per month to Europe.
  • Experience selling into Europe would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of façade access & fall protection anchor systems an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the construction or safety industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Experience in identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM software is a plus).
