Job summary

We Help Recruit Talent is partnering with an established UK packaging manufacturer to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager. You will drive new business in the UK, build relationships with brands, manufacturers and end users, and manage the full sales process from initial conversation to commercial agreement.

Ideally, you’ll bring a background in folding cartons, printed cartons or related carton packaging, understand the market, customers and sales cycle, and be comfortable

I’m working with an established UK packaging manufacturer looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to its commercial team.

For this one, the brief is pretty straightforward:

We want to speak to people who know cartons.

If you’ve sold folding cartons / printed carton packaging and have a track record of developing customers and winning new business, I’d like to hear from you.

The role will involve:

• Developing new business across the UK
• Building relationships with brands, manufacturers and end users
• Identifying and converting new carton opportunities
• Managing the full sales process from initial conversation through to commercial agreement
• Working closely with internal production and technical teams
• Growing and developing accounts once they're on board

We’re deliberately keeping the salary open.

Rather than putting an arbitrary number on the advert, the client is prepared to have conversations with people at different levels of experience and build the package around the right person.

The important part is your background.

Ideally, you'll already be working within folding cartons, printed cartons or a closely related carton packaging environment and understand the market, customers and sales process.

You’ll be based in Yorkshire or within a sensible travelling distance, with the flexibility to get out and meet customers.

You don't need to be actively looking.
