Mulberry Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager in Fleet for a hybrid role. You will promote products, advise intermediaries on lending criteria, and build strong broker relationships.

You will meet targets by expanding new and existing partnerships while using CRM to stay organized and compliant with regulations. The ideal candidate has proven sales experience in financial services, solid communication skills, and a readiness to learn and grow within the sector.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in face-to-face or phone-based environments.
• Background in Mortgage or Financial Services is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, flexible and keen to build a career in Financial Services.
• Proficient with MS Office and CRM systems; CeMAP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up telephone contact strategy with regional brokers and develop relationships.
• Achieve targets through development of new and existing intermediary relationships.
• Use CRM to maintain up-to-date records of broker interactions.
• Provide technical expertise on products and underwriting criteria to intermediaries.
• Collaborate with all areas of the business and update knowledge regularly.
• Understand competitors' products and act compliantly with regulatory guidelines.
• Support sales and the wider business to meet service standards.

Hybrid Role

My client based in Fleet are seeing a Business Development Manager to join their team! You will be responsible for promoting and providing expert knowledge on products, lending criteria and technical expertise to our intermediary partners. Furthermore, you will develop relationships with intermediaries and become a main point of contact for all future new business whilst developing effective and efficient working relationships with partnered field Business Development Managers to maximise opportunities.

Duties

Set up and enact telephone contact strategy with regional panel of brokers to develop relationships with them, get to know and understand their business and provide detailed and tailored information to intermediaries on products and lending criteria.

Achieve set targets through the development of both new and existing intermediary relationships within the scope of our current and day by day appetite for business.

Use the Contact Relationship Management system to maintain and keep up to date records of contact with intermediaries.

Provide technical expertise to intermediaries on products and underwriting criteria and technical IT support to intermediaries and problem solve intermediary portal issues.

Work collaboratively with all areas of the business.

Take full responsibility for regularly updating own knowledge on company products, processes and procedures in order to always provide the best information.

Understand and keep up to date on our competitors products.

Act in a compliant manner at all times in line with regulatory guidelines.

Support team members across sales and the whole business to meet service standards and achieve results.

Skills and Experience

Proven sales experience in either a face to face or telephone-based environment is essential.

Previous experience working in the Mortgage or Financial Services

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, is essential.

Enthusiastic, flexible and keen to learn and build a career in Financial Services.

PC literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. CeMAP would be an advantage, but not essential.
